Collection documents Irma Callahan's active involvement in the Democratic Party and to a lesser extent her employment at the United States Internal Revenue Service's Fargo, N.D. office. Includes portraits of Callahan, noted political officials, state office candidates, her campaign for state auditor. There are also images documenting her involvement in the local March of Dimes Mother's March on Polio. The Internal Revenue Service photographs are of employees, employee gatherings and an exterior of the old IRS office in Fargo.

Irma Krebsbach was born in 1899 in Iowa. She worked in the Fargo office of the Internal Revenue Service from 1921 to 1943. She was active in the Democratic Party at the local, state and national level. She married James Callahan. She died in 1995 in Fargo, N.D.
